Description
Gouache on A3 board.
Needs some more work and a much better photograph but I wanted to upload something new!
Picture shows John Surtees driving a '250' LM at the 12 hrs of Reims 1964. This car was actually comfortably winning after 8 hours but a costly mistake by a pit mechanic caused resulted in a brake failure. Subsequently, despite chasing down the lead number 7 car (Hill/Bonnier), Surtees/Bandini finished second.
As far as I know, this car was referred to as a 250LM for commercial and homologation reasons. Technically it is a 330/275LM.

Ooh, I like this a lot. The colours are spot on for the sense of era.
